Microscreen

Over 25 years of experience have contributed to MicroScreen’s position as a leading supplier of stencils and screens to the electronics industry. Our reputation and growth have been built on providing the quality and service necessary for today’s advancing technology.

Stencils for Surface Mount Applications

Our processes are dedicated to yielding consistent results with apertures true to size and location, pad-to-pad and stencil-to-stencil.

All laser cut stencils manufactured by MicroScreen are 100% inspected for integrity using the ScanCheck AOI System. This equipment automatically does a comparative inspection against original Gerber data at 12,000 dpi. Every stencil is inspected for aperture presence/absence, blockage, positional accuracy, and size.

For lead-free and fine pitch printing, we offer Invar metal which improves paste release due to the high-nickel content of the material.

Screens for Thick Film Printing

At MicroScreen, we utilize the latest screen fabrication technology to meet and exceed the highest industry standards.
We offer:

  • A complete selection of stainless steel mesh featuring standard and ultra-fine wires
  • Mesh and emulsion thickness certification
  • High-performance emulsions for superior mesh bridging and fine line resolution
  • Component traceability to avoid costly errors and tracking problems

We carefully select stainless steel mesh that offers excellent dimensional stability with tight tolerances on the overall mesh thickness to provide exact print reproduction. The advanced stretching system we use provides consistent, exact duplication of tension from screen-to-screen and stretch-to-stretch, assuring optimal registration and print quality. With this precise tension stability, you will avoid deviations that cause uneven ink deposits resulting in poor print definition.

Emulsion is applied with a PLC-controlled coating machine which assures emulsion thickness repeatability that cannot be accomplished by any other method. The machine’s ability to coat both sides of the screen simultaneously and to coat two screens at one time increases productivity while reducing lead times.

If you would like us to expose your screens, just send us your Gerber data and we'll do the rest.

We invite you to evaluate our screen in your own printing application. Just complete the order form, and we'll send you a screen designed specifically for your requirements.

Screen Types

  • Covered only screens – consist of frames on which mesh is stretched and bonded, as specified by the user. The user must apply his own emulsion, expose, and process the screen.
  • Sensitized screens – consist of mesh-covered screens to which light sensitive emulsions have been applied as specified by the user. The user must expose his own pattern and process the screen.
  • Finished screen – consist of emulsion coated screens which have been completely exposed, developed, and hardened to user-defined specifications. These screens are fully ready for production.
